Elaine Paige

Singer and actress Elaine Paige is an icon of English musical theater and is often called the First Lady of British Musical Theatre. She originated several important roles in the canon of Andrew Lloyd Webber, including Eva Perón in Evita and Grizabella in Cats. In 1995, Paige received an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for her contributions to musical theater.
