Vinca Showalter, now Vinca LaFleur, is a professional speechwriter. She wrote for former Secretary of State Warren Christopher and former President Bill Clinton. Since leaving the White House LaFleur has written and edited speeches, articles, books, and reports for top corporate executives, current and former senior government officials, royalty, and prominent public figures in fields from entertainment to philanthropy. She and her husband, scientist David LaFleur, live in Washington with their two children.
