When Cicely Lewis's students organized a walkout in response to an injustice they felt strongly about, she was proud of them, but also worried. She wanted them to use their voice, but in a way that could be beneficial to them and their community. She curated books to show them the power of activism and provided them with vocabulary to help them better advocate for themselves and others. This collection can serve as a tool kit for educators who are looking for ways to help students channel their frustrations into productive and meaningful practices.
